The Gower Peninsula
Gower, a peninsula jutting out into the sea in South Wales, is brimming with natural beauty. It was the first place in the UK to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
From beautiful coastal walks to relaxing on the beach, Gower’s not short of things to do or see. Below, we’ve compiled a short list of highlights, including where to eat.

A favourite among those willing to take the walk from nearby Parkmill.

A long sandy beach, perfect for sunbathing.

A hidden gem, worth the scenic walk down the valley from Rhossili.

Surfer’s paradise, this is at the opposite end of Rhosilli’s three-mile beach.

Walking
The Gower Coast Path takes in the whole range of our fabulous coastline, from wide golden beaches and dramatic cliffs to saltmarsh and sand dunes. We have walking guides in each of the suites.

Paddleboarding
Port Eynon Bay is the perfect place to paddle board as the bay is large but very safe. There are two local suppliers of kit and lessons.

Surfing and windsurfing
There are a number of surf schools on Gower. Caswell, Langland and Rhosilli are the best surfing beaches. Click on the photo and the more button to link to surf schools. Meanwhile, Port Eynon is a popular bay for windsurfing.
